Stop Gen AI’s mission:
To raise and distribute mutual aid funds to help people who are financially struggling due to Gen AI. It doesn’t matter that Gen AI absolutely cannot substitute human thinking or creative labour competently, or at all. We are losing our jobs and livelihoods regardless. Gen AI is a weapon for our billionaire overloads to avoid paying for human labour. Their ultimate goal is to replace all of us. Then we die?

What is Stop Gen AI Twitch Fest 1?
A fundraising event to run from November 9th to 23rd, 2025. All funds raised go to support Stop Gen AI’s mutual aid efforts. Meaning, donations go directly to poor people!
What curious Twitch streamers need to know if they’re interested:
Stream whatever you want, do your usual streaming. As long as your content is permissible according to Twitch policies and there is no Gen AI in your content. If you stream games, that means you cannot stream games that are know to be sloppified by Gen AI, such as Inzoi, and be part of the event. Vtubers are okay, as long as your Vtubing software is generally doing what it would do in 2022. Twitch widgets and stuff that are known to have Gen AI may not be used in the event. Streaming non-gaming content is fine, as long as it’s not generated (vomited out, sloppified, defecated) by Gen AI.
Twitch streamers should have a known schedule in their Twitch profiles, but there is no obligation to stream more than once in the two week period of the event. Twitch stream using your usual scheduling, as long as we know your schedule at least a week (November 2nd) before the start of the event, so we can promote your Twitch streams. If unforeseen circumstances make you cancel a stream or reschedule a stream, we will adjust our advertising accordingly as long as you update your schedule in your Twitch profile ASAP.
The only obligations to participate in the event other than to stream content that is both permissible by Twitch and absolutely zero Gen AI (to the best of your and our knowledge) is to:
- Add a widget to your screen/stream for Ko-Fi donations to Stop Gen AI’s fund. We will give you the code, URL, and instructions prior to the event.
- Mention Stop Gen AI and Stop Gen AI Twitch Fest 1 (and why the Ko-Fi widget is there) at least once per every hour of streaming. You may explain it in your own words. Can be something like this: “This stream is a part of Stop Gen AI Twitch Fest 1. Stop Gen AI provides mutual aid funds to people who are financially struggling due to Gen AI taking their livelihoods. Money donated through that Ko-Fi widget or URL will go toward their mutual aid efforts. Thank you!”
This is like when you go to the convenience store or bodega offline and there’s a small box on the cashier’s counter to collect donations for some charity. As a Twitch streamer, you may continue to accept funds and payment for yourself as usual during the event. That means if you make money from subscriptions, bits, other ways to monetize in Twitch’s system, donations to your own Ko-Fi or other fund outside of Twitch’s system, and so on, you may continue to do so during the event. The cashier is still running and taking money for the store while the charity box is on the counter! We aren’t entitled to see your own revenue either, none of our business. Just put our Ko-Fi on our screen during the event and mention it.
All Twitch streamers should be at least 18 years old, even though it’s likely no one will be streaming “adult” content aside from M rated games. (“Adult” content is okay during our event, as long as you abide by Twitch’s policies.) Twitch streamers are under no obligation to age screen viewers unless forced to by Twitch policies or law.
